We are a family business specialising in the production, bottling and commercialisation of extra virgin olive oil. We have a long family tradition of olive growing and this is reflected in our oils, our true passion. Our activity does not only include commercialisation, but we are present in all phases of the olive oil's life.

O-Med is currently a young and dynamic company, but always with the labour, experience and tradition of our father Juan de Dios as a reference point. Both the farm and the mill are located in Granada, more specifically in the small village of Ácula.

Thanks to the region's climate and harvesting at the optimum moment of maturity of the fruit, we obtain homogeneous productions of unquestionable quality of the arbequina, hojiblanca and picual varieties through an integrated and environmentally friendly agriculture.

Our commitment to traceability and quality is guaranteed by our membership of the QvExtra Association, of which we are proud to be founding members, and its Siquev quality seal.

About O-Med

Paula and Juande have taken over the family baton from their father, Juan de Dios, and since then they have been travelling all over the world looking for the best process for each of their olives.

At O-Med, we have always controlled the entire production process from olive harvesting to bottling, because we know that this is the only way to guarantee maximum quality for our customers.

Our extra virgin olive oils are made using the most modern technology. They are very early harvest oils, rich in aromas and complex flavours. For this we apply different and innovative techniques:

  • We have underground drip irrigation in most of our fields. This irrigation also uses renewable energies thanks to solar panels.
  • We have experimental plantations of different varieties of olive trees, a project we share with the IFAPA Centre and the University of Cordoba.
  • Our farms are a magnificent habitat for local fauna and flora. Furthermore, we participate in the Olivares Vivos - SeoBirdlife project, which aims to achieve a balance between our olive groves and the ecosystem of which they form part.
  • We apply Agriculture 4.0 techniques, using tools such as drone flights, weather stations, humidity sensors, etc., which help us to efficiently manage all the resources at our disposal.
  • Our new oil mill is a clear example of a sustainable building. Techniques such as the collection and reuse of rainwater, the existence of strategically placed windows that allow us to work without artificial light or the control of natural temperature and without the use of energy by means of the exutories, among other things, have allowed us to lower our CO2 emissions and work in a more natural environment.
  • We filter our extra virgin olive oils immediately, thus avoiding any contamination by humidity or impurities.
  • We store the O-Med oil in stainless steel tanks, in an inert atmosphere thanks to nitrogen, thus extending its life.
  • We incinerate part of the olive pits to obtain energy.
  • We use recycled packaging.
  • All our oils are preserved with nitrogen to prevent oxidation.
  • We extract the olive pits to obtain energy, so that the oil mill can operate in a SUSTAINABLE way.
  • Cold extraction at a temperature not higher than 20º.
  • Innovation and exclusivity in our designs, illusion and great effort.
